Imola Informatica
Case Study
Imola Informatica is an independent ITC consulting company serving the main financial, insurance, large companies and small startups in managing technological and cultural change.
Challenge
The highly changeable and competitive job market has placed Imola Informatica in a position to increase time and resources in identifying local staff with technical talent, as well as avoiding a significant wear rate of the internal development team. Imola Informatica asked us to reorganize and restructure, according to new needs, its delivery capabilities with dedicated teams taking advantage of the process of creation, motivation and management of delocalized software development groups.
Solution
Using an Agile approach, which combines the adaptation of the organization to the customer's tested workflow with the efficiency in complying with the development guidelines imposed, we have made it possible to gradually move the developments out remotely in a fluid manner and without affecting the delivery requirements, making use of suitable instruments for managing the activities.
Impact
The knowledge and the wise use of open source technologies, architectural patterns and programming languages (including Java) has allowed us to enter, in a couple of weeks, the client team's guide lines by collaborating synergistically. In the long term, the results achieved and the full harmony between the remote teams have been confirmed by statistics on the percentage of developed code covered by tests (code coverage). In addition to satisfying the pre-established "quality gate", in the recent development session, the Reeturn team brought an increase in the percentage of code coverage from 93% to 99.1%.
